My excuse...

While my sister's excuse for not blogging is going all granola... mine is not. Here's my excuse for my lack of blogging as of recently. I think it's a pretty good one.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant. This little baby is due February 19th, and we're supposed to find out if it's a boy or girl on October 1. The boys are excited. Gavin already asks to hold the baby, and if you ask him if he's having a baby brother or a baby sister, he says baby sister. We're all kind of hoping for a girl this time, though we'll be perfectly happy with a boy if that's who the Lord sends next to our family.

Blue Angels

A good month ago now (goodness where does time go), we had the Blue Angels arrive to our little airport here. And since we live right by the airport, we got lots of viewing opportunities. My boys had a love/hate relationship with them. They were loud and intimidating, yet absolutely fascinating to watch. We watched the airshow on Saturday from the hill in front of our subdivision with Grandpa Kevin, Grandma Ann, and Jacob. Maybe not quite as spectacular as if we had tickets, but still amazing and even better... free! In the words of Xander, good job airplanes! We hope the come again.

"One fine day in the middle of the night"

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.

One was blind and the other couldn't see.
So, they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind may went to see fair play.
A dumb man went to shout "Hooray!"

A paralyzed donkey passing by,
Kicked the blind man in the eye.
Knocked him through a nine inch wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all.

A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came to arrest the two dead boys.
If you don't believe this story is true,
Ask the blind man - he saw it too!
