TWO BOYS IN A TUB!

Dairy Day

Once a year our local dairy, Reed's Dairy, has a Dairy Day. They sell hamburger and hot dog lunches and their scrumptious ice cream (If you are ever in IF, you should definitely try it out, especially the flavor called Gavin's Mess!) at a discount. They also have animals that the kids can come and pet, horse-drawn wagon rides (beautiful Clydesdales I might add), pony rides, and a tour of the dairy. Even though we've lived here for 2 1/2 years now, we've never gone before. SO this year since we weren't busy, we packed up the kids in the stroller and walked over to enjoy the food, ice cream, and animals. Gavin absolutely loved being able to pet the calf, the goats (there were even baby goats!) and the pony. It was a fun adventure, and I think we'll have to do it again.

Walkin' the Walk

(Or at least he's trying to!)
Give it another week or two, and I won't be able to keep up.

Blackham Reunion

Two weekends ago, we had the Blackham Reunion. Ann was the sibling in charge of the reunion this year, and held the festivities at her house. Friday night we showed up for dinner, and then had some after dinner entertainment in the form of games. First everyone had a chance to dig for candy and quarters in a baby pool filled with saw dust, and then it was on to family feud... and let's just say there was some feuding ;). Because we were so close we slept in our own beds that night... aaww loved it!

Saturday morning, we arrived back in Rexburg bright and early (well... 9 o'clock... not so early with kids) for breakfast and then headed off to a local gymnastics center that had a rock wall. Everyone pretty much had a good time climbing... there might be a few exceptions, but for those who didn't climb there were other fun things around to do.

We headed back and had lunch. After lunch everyone enjoyed some "BIG" fun, whether it was watching or participating. The kids, and a few adults, braved the cold water and slipped and slided their way down this fun waterslide. Though I must say, Jacob was the one to stick it out all afternoon until the guys came to pick it up. I think he helped get every penny's worth out of that rental.

A jump house was also rented. I was little afraid Gavin wouldn't like because he hated the jump house that they had a Ben's work party. But Ben and I climbed in the jump house with Gavin and Xander, and we had our own little jump party. Later Gavin even joined Grandma and Grandpa in the jump house and jumped with them for 15 minutes! I think eventually the jump house was used by almost everyone... some for a quick nap!

We had a lot of fun hanging out with family, catching up, and playing around. Gotta love family reunions!

Double Time

I have been wanting to get more active and start getting regular exercise into my routine. Just over a month ago with the help of craigslist, I found a family about a sell a double jogging stroller in a garage sale. I emailed them and asked them if I could have it. They emailed back, we made arrangements, and viola! I have a used, but very nice jogging stroller. Since then I've been jogging with my good friend Brooke and her two little girls three times a week. We jog an almost 2 mile loop. I'm now up to jogging about 1.5 miles of it and then walking the last half mile home! I'm really quite proud of myself, and the boys love to go. The double jogger has been a good investment.
