Father's Day

Now that it's almost a month later... Here's a quick Father's day post. This year I actually had the chance to give Ben his very first power tool, a power drill/screwdriver. I got tired of always borrowing our neighbors, and Ben and I try to be do-it-ourself-ers. The boys were just as excited as their dad about the gift, I think. We didn't do anything too extraordinary for the day, but it was a great one!

Lucky Ducks

We found some old hot dog buns in the freezer, so we decided to go share with our local ducks down at the Greenbelt. The boys had a great time. The duck in the picture all by himself actually ended up with a piece of bread stuck on his back. I couldn't have thrown it and had it land on his back, even if I had tried, but it's amazing what you can do by accident! We love that we're finally having summer around here and are getting to enjoy the outdoors.

One at a time

Xander, my little chipmunk, loves to stuff his cheeks. We are always reminding him to take small bites or take one thing at a time. He's now to point that while stuffing his mouth he tells us one at a time and does the finger wag to go with it!

Sometimes you just can't win...

After not having a nap, Gavin came over and crawled under the computer desk to whine at me about something. I ignored him and continued what I was doing. Next thing I know I look down, and he is completely out. He slept for probably 45 minutes to an hour that way. Sometimes sleep catches up even if you are trying hard to fight it!

Amusing Musings

My funny little boy gets the silliest ideas sometimes. I love to watch him just crack himself up with his own cleverness!

Yummy Bubbles

I don't know what it is about my boys, but they eat bubbles like they're ice cream. The other morning, Xander came to help me with dishes, aka eat bubbles, and it was funny how he was doing it. I pulled out the camera to record it, but at first all he would do was work the camera and say, "cheese!" I finally got him eating the bubbles and even saying "yummy bubbles." He's such a ham! Enjoy.
