Straw Maze Adventures

Just around the corner from the in-laws this fall was a straw maze ran by people they knew. Last Saturday, we decided to go and check it out. The weather was perfect... a little windy, but the temperature was nice, the sunshine was gorgeous, and we couldn't have asked for better October Idaho weather. We checked out their animals... and because we had an in, we got to hold the baby bunnies!
They had a little maze for the kids. The boys loved running around it.
Then we all had fun wandering the big maze together. Kevin, Jon, and Jacob had all been enough times that if we needed a little direction, they could give us a hint.
Ben and I had fun snapping pictures as we went. The straw and sunshine made for a beautiful backdrop. Xander got tired from time to time and enjoyed some shoulder rides. Aren't Ben and I a cute couple?!
My two handsome boys. They are growing up so fast. They are now five and three... can you believe it?! These pictures of them were just too adorable.
And Landon, you may ask... what was he up to? We used his monkey Halloween costume as his coat for the day. He enjoyed all the sites from his stroller. And he enjoyed it so much that after a while he was lulled to sleep and took a nap! He was happy to be outside and enjoy the sunshine too.
After we all went through the maze together, Kevin and Ann kept an eye on our boys, so we could see how fast we could get through the maze. Jon, Ben, and I took off and with only a few dead ends made it through the maze in 9 minutes! It was pretty fun to see how fast we could do it, though both Ben and I were a little winded by the end! We then headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's to enjoy the cotton candy they got. What a perfect family afternoon adventure!

Tents and Tots

Since weather in Idaho stays cold for so long, we decided to have an indoor outing for dinner a few months ago. We cooked hamburgers and tater tots and enjoyed them in our make shift tent. I love when we create fun memories like this!

Brighter

I love when my husband makes a bad day a little better by surprising me with flowers. He's AMAZING.

My Birthday

Oh yeah... back in February, I had a birthday. We spent a fun evening at home. My birthday cake was one Ben learned how to make on his mission in Brazil. And I was spoiled with gifts that the boys loved helping to open.

We Three Brothers Be

WE ARE INDEED ALIVE!
In case some of you were starting to wonder.

In June we spent are weekends wedding it up with Ben's brother Daron and his new bride Brooke. Along with that we have been battling one sickness after another for the last two months. In the last month alone, all of us, excluding Ben, have been on some sort of antibiotics. AND if that WASN'T ENOUGH... we have been potty training both Gavin AND Xander for the past two weeks. So in other words... Sorry, been a little busy. ;)

I've got plenty of pictures and plenty of blogging to do, but for the moment here's a little something. The collages are the boys in the same church outfit at about the same age.
Can you see the family resemblance?
