A Halloween Full of THINGS

Life is full of all kind of things right now... so much so that it's been hard to find a minute to blog. Even though, I have several posts I would like to do. BUT I finally found a minute to blog about the two cutest Things you'll ever see! It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for Halloween costumes, but I decided to be the Cat in the Hat (since I already had the hat) and the boys would be Thing 1 and Thing 2 (rather fitting if you ask me and not too complicated to make). I spent a day at Ann's house creating their costumes, while they played with Grandma, and we were set. Ben opted to dye his old contacts red... it was a little creepy to say the least.

We did trick or treating at Snake River Landing on Friday. It was awfully cold and windy, but they boys did well. Gavin loved the decorations more than the candy, but the favorite for both boys was the balloons they came home with. On Saturday we spent the morning in Rexburg, enjoying the day with Ben's family. Ben made yummy cinnamon breadsticks and had me use the orange powder sugar glaze he made to make a spiderweb over the top.

Later in the afternoon, we changed into our Halloween costumes and had a picture shoot. It was well... interesting. We did get a few good shots. Then we headed off to the park for our ward's trunk or treat. Gavin got the hang of treating this time. We great time being with friends and enjoying some extra good they had around for everyone... fresh hot french fries and hot apple cider. And it was near as cold and windy. We then spent the rest of the evening at home hanging out as a family. It was a great weekend!

You're things are too cute! What a great idea (though Ben's eyes are really creepy).
